A visit to PCMC Water Purification Plant, Chikhali, Pune was arranged for the First year D. Pharm students of Siddhi college of pharmacy on 19th December 2023. A batch of 37 students along with a faculty member had visited the Water Purification Plant. The visit started at 9.30 am from College. We boarded the PMT bus to reach to PCMC Water Purification Plant, Chikhali. We reached there around 9.45 am. At the reception, we were welcomed by the team members of PCMC Water Purification Plant, Chikhali. A group of 18 students was made and then a visit to the different zones on PCMC Water Purification Plant like sampling Unit, processing unit, storage unit, supervision, maintenance and control unit.
A detailed explanation regarding each process was given during the visit. This was followed by a detailed presentation about the water purification process and water supply scheme. Overall, the visit was very informative and enjoyable.
