Teachers and students of D.Pharm. And B.Pharm. Siddhi College of pharmacy Chikhali visited Vikas Anathashram, Chikhali, Pune, on 19 th October 2019, Saturday. There are 50 orphanage children in Vikas Anathashram. Mr.Vikas Sane is care taker of this anathashram and takes care of their studies, basic necessities, personal and social development of children. We donated Rs. 2,500 (Two Thousand five Hundred Rupees) for afternoon lunch of children. Also arranged Rangoli Completion to create awareness regarding Female infanticide. Students of First Year D & B Pharm were participated in completion and shown their skill.

SOCIAL ACTIVITY TREE PLANTATION
Under this event State Government promoted many institutions to plant as many trees in their surrounding area. As a part of social activity our institute binds to contribute to the activities which are beneficial to the improvement of society. The purpose of Tree plantation is to encourage activities that promote and advocate for tree play an important role in reducing the air pollution and to maintain the good quality air level in an environment. Trees are also useful to reduce the erosion of soil which may lead to high flood situation. So every individual shall try to plant as many trees as possible. Because day by day pollution level in an environment is becoming worse. Hence to overcome this situation tree plantation is the only solution we have.
The Institute celebrated Tree plantation and world pharmacist Day. The celebrations started with an inaugural address by Chief Guest PSI Mr.Rajkumar Shinde followed by his speech on the Tree Plantation. Chairman of Siddhi College of pharmacy Mr.S.B.Patil sir motivated students by his speech. Principal Dr.P.N.Sable addressed students regarding tree plantation in this area will help to maintain good air quality in coming days.The programme started with grand procession with students,Teaching & Non-Teaching faculty members. These events witnessed active and sincere participation by the first year D.Pharm and B.Pharm students.
